EIL is a year-round competitive indoor golf ecosystem built on progression, structure, and a persistent player identity. By utilizing asynchronous play, EIL removes traditional barriers such as weather dependency and seasonal interruptions.
Season Duration: An EIL season consists of competitive play with a designated off-season during July every year.
Events & Rounds: Each active month features one (1) Event consisting of two (2) active Rounds.
Time Window: Each Round remains active for two weeks, allowing for flexible, asynchronous scheduling.
Divisions: The hierarchy consists of the Pro League, Divisions 1–10, and the Seed Division.
Promotion & Relegation: At the end of every Event, top players move up and bottom players move down.
Club Limit: A player must not start a round with more than 14 clubs.
Tee Usage: Tees may be used on shots from the tee box only.
Alignment Aids: Use of alignment sticks, long strips of tape, or external objects to guide direction is strictly prohibited.
Equipment: Titleist RCT (Radar Capture Technology) balls are recommended for optimal tracking.
Mandatory Usage: All shots must be hit from within the "Strike Zone". Any shot hit from outside this zone will not count toward the score and may result in disqualification.
Identification: Players using Trackman 4 must identify the zone by tapping the Trackman logo on the select activity screen to activate the calibration camera.
Marking the Zone: Players are responsible for marking each corner of the strike zone. Only adhesive dots or small pieces of tape (max 2 in / 5 cm) may be used.
Prohibitions: Using longer strips of tape or alignment rods to mark the zone is considered an illegal alignment aid and is a rules infraction.
Putting Format: EIL utilizes manual putting.
Gimme Circle: The gimme circle is set to exactly 2.4 meters (7.87 feet). A putt is considered holed if the ball comes to rest within this distance.
Pick-Up Rule: If a player uses the "Pick Up" function before holing out, the score for that hole will be recorded as a quadruple bogey.
Integrity: EIL has a zero-tolerance policy toward cheating, which includes account sharing, score manipulation, unauthorized play, or exploiting technical loopholes.
Enforcement: EIL reserves the right to investigate suspicious results, remove scores, or permanently ban players to maintain competitive legitimacy.
EIL Competition Committee: The committee has exclusive authority over all aspects of the league and serves as the final arbiter for all rulings and disputes.
Technical Interruptions: Players may continue interrupted rounds (e.g., due to disconnects) provided the Event window remains active.
RUFF Members: Full league participation is included in the membership at no additional cost.
External Players: Access to rankings, profiles, and events is available for a monthly fee of 79 SEK.
